Surprises and New Beginnings

2 May

Today is usually Book Review Mondays, however I must be honest with you. The past week has been so crazy busy that I haven’t had time to even sneeze. I  recently got a full time job at an amazing bakery. I am actually getting paid to be around cheesecake all day so it’s pretty sweet, no pun intended. On top of that, I have started writing a book.   I know, how cliché . But I love being able to create a story where the characters write themselves.  Don’t worry though, I am still baking up a storm and creating a mess in my kitchen. While I don’t believe in recommending a book that I have not read yet, I do believe in sharing with you guys a cookbook that is my go to when I need a little inspiration.  “Baked: New Frontiers in Baking” by Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito has so many creative recipes that I truly don’t understand where it all comes from.  I am sure many people will agree with me on this.  Go pick up a copy today and get baking!  Oh, and before I forget, my shortbread sandwiches were one of the featured recipes on ‘Tasty Kitchen’ today.  It was such a nice surprise. Thanks again!
